Tesia, hello: I suggest that you should try Champori herbal anti-psoriasis cream/spray combo : it is steroid-free and works better than anything else I used for my scalp psoriasis: my patches cleared in just 2.5 weeks and I haven't had a flare up in more than a year now!
Best,
Bernadette

If you cant afford a dermatologist, then go to a low cost clinic and let them take a look. You may need a prescription. When I couldn't afford to see a doc, I was honest with them and told them I needed to pay in payments. Most of the time they were really nice to me. They may even give you free samples instead of you having to go get a prescription. But if it were my head, I'd go to the doc asap. Better safe than sorry.

Try nizsoril shampoo. that's one thing.
If it is really, really bad, you can reduce flaking by oiling your hair before bed, but you need to be able to wash your hair out many times to remove the oil. My doctor used to make a prescription for me of saliylic acid and baby oil. But I hated using it as it stained my pillows and was hard to get out of my hair. Ask a pharmacist about "sal" acid and baby oil combo for scalp psoriasis. Would he "make" you some?

I doubt very much it is ringworm. They don't look much alike. And I take it you have already been diagnosed by your family doctor. Remember that one of the prejudices that people have against people with Psoriasis is that they have something that is contagious. Don't pay any attention to people who suggest such things. Good Luck and blessings,

Pay the $$ and see a dermatologist.
It might NOT be psoriosis. It might be ringworm.
