I really have no thought of the active ingredients, but a loose theory might be if tagamet has something in it that calms the nerves,(maybe the antacid, means less acid which can make you feel nervous), and cooler nerve-endings in general could help the skin too……….crazy theory, but I’ve had stomach problems and skin problems, and anxiety related to both conditions………..QUESTION A PHARMACIST for some real advice……

it suppose to help with the itch, it contains an imidazole ring and is chemically related to histamine. Since Psoriasis means to have the itch and it builds up from the inside out ..preventing you from scratching is suppose to help reduce the disease from building up
Tips for improving psoriasis in addition to prescription medicines:
Use moisturizer.
Avoid using harsh soaps.
Apply oil or moisturizer after bathing.
Expose psoriasis to moderate sunlight.
Use a tar shampoo every other night
